Our Future

Fourteen years ago, a vision came to life and the heart of what is now the Wings of Eagles Ranch Therapeutic Horseback Riding Center began to beat. With a desire to serve God, the Cronin family poured their time, energy, love and prayers into building the Ranch, which provides services for those with special needs in Cabarrus and surrounding counties. Over the years, the center has expanded, adding a covered riding arena for year-round therapy and incorporating summer camps into their program. Having support from the community, area churches and local business to keep Wings of Eagles Ranch moving forward has been a blessing from God. Even though it takes a great deal of work, the Cronin's have remained faithful and God has provided.

Today there is anew vision: to acquire the land needed to expand Wings of Eagles Ranch and build a full recreational facility and Outdoor Adventure Center. The vision for this new center includes building a lodge, dining hall, cabins, high and low ropes courses (completed), climbing wall (completed), zip line (completed), trail system (completed), basketball/volleyball courts, pool, picnic shelter (completed), lake, gardening area for seniors with a sensory garden for those with special needs, and an amphitheater. The center would serve the special needs community, at-risk youth, area churches, businesses and community groups, for team building, conferences, overnight retreats and camps.

To get the Retreat Center started we are currently seeking to raise the much needed funds to purchase the 88 acres of land adjacent to the Therapeutic Riding Center.
